I've gotten over the redesign at this point. Some of the stages look really cool as well. But the main thing that I'm worried about is if it will play well.Playing as Vergil in DMC3:SE was amazing, I'd be surprised if this came close to that.
Very anti-establishment, Fox-news Bill O'Reilly kind of stuff. If this were anything other than Devil May Cry I'd probably totally be on board as the level design does look really cool but the feelings I'm getting watching all these changes is similar to
the kind of feelings Dark Knight fans probably would have had if Dark Knight Rises was a reboot directed by Joel Schumacher. DmC was never about biting social satire, it was just about killing demons and cheesy quips and stuff.
I hope the direction this game is going in doesn't mean that we'll never see the old Dante and Trish ever again. If it's just a 'what if' spin-off series then I guess it'd be alright.
The style meter doesn't seem to be punishing the player for using the same moves over and over. Then again, DMC1's style meter worked like that so maybe it's not such a big issue
