My home wireless network allows my Xbox to sign in using the WPA2 passphrase, but it does not assign an IP address. I have check that DHCP is turned on, that MAC filtering is off, tried the wired ethernet connection, and basically went through the entire trouble shooting thing built into the xbox. I'm begining to think the xbox is defective.
I have answered the recommended questions below to help facilitate an answer:

Modem brand & model number:
Router brand & model number:
Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired
preferably wireless, but i tried both

Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem. Turn your router or modem off and back on, then wait 30 seconds. (I did this several times)
