Network connection issues

Hello again

My xbox is now refusing to connect to the network, never mind the internet and LIVE itself. I've opened the ports needed, tried each and every solution I've found, and they have not worked. I'm connecting to a network adapter via my PC. Each time I test the connection the xbox cannot even connect to the network! I've tried manually setting the IP, but that did not work, I've changed my firewall settings to no avail, I've changed my MAC settings... what's going on?!

Hello UnseamedElk,

It sounds like it's on your end, not Xbox's end. Have you tried restarting your router/modem?

You could also call your internet provider, and talk to them about this problem.

If all else fails, you could hardwire your Xbox until you can get Wi-Fi to work again.

I've tried restarting to modem, and it's fine on my computer, and I've connected with them before. I had a different adapter at the time but I'm fairly sure I've connected with this one before, I'm not sure though. And what's hardwiring?

I guess I could try that, but last time I moved my xbox it didn't end well, so is there a way of making my xbox connect again via the PC? I've connected the two via ethernet cable and it's worked before, but now it can't even connect to the network :S

If I directly connect the xbox it works BUT that's far away from the screen I wish to use, since the screen closest to the router is used quite a lot... but I want to know what is wrong with the fact I can't get a connection to the network
