Don't expect Xbox One to ever support accessing network shares. If one's NAS has a DLNA server, that may see support. If one's NAS is just providing shares, it is unlikely that it will ever work with Xbox One.
Whitey, I have no idea if it will happen via an update, but I'd love to see it happen. Day One Edition with four games at launch. I've added three games since then, and my HDD is over half full. My XB1 has more physical HDD space used up in six months
than my 360 (with over 200 games) did in 8+ years of use.
I've got a 3TB NAS Drive in my network that has about 800GB used up. Plenty of space for storing games there.
PLEASE give us this ability, or my XB1 may be full before it is a year old. Not cool.
