Network Attached Stoarge

I was wondering if anyone knows if the X1 is able to connect to my NAS now or in the future?

it supports playto, but cannot initialize streams.

Id be shocked if it didn't come in a patch soon.

thank you. hope it comes soon. I have like 500 movies on my nas

Sounds like a plan! ;)

if you are technically inclined, Plex is coming to the X1.

@whitey...if you have a smart phone you can download a program called "bubbleupnp" and that will allow you to stream the movies over to your xbox one from your NAS.

DLNA != share support

Don't expect Xbox One to ever support accessing network shares. If one's NAS has a DLNA server, that may see support. If one's NAS is just providing shares, it is unlikely that it will ever work with Xbox One.

the xbox 360 seen my western digital Mycloud storage...

The My Cloud has a built-in DLNA server.

I knew there was a reason i picked consumer friendly

Whitey, I have no idea if it will happen via an update, but I'd love to see it happen.  Day One Edition with four games at launch.  I've added three games since then, and my HDD is over half full.  My XB1 has more physical HDD space used up in six months than my 360 (with over 200 games) did in 8+ years of use.

I've got a 3TB NAS Drive in my network that has about 800GB used up.  Plenty of space for storing games there.

PLEASE give us this ability, or my XB1 may be full before it is a year old.  Not cool.
