NAT type is always moderate...

I have a problem with my NAT.

It is always on modrate NAT. I have tried every solution that Xbox LIVE, and Bt have given me. They do not work. When I turn off my router, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on again, it works, but when I turn off my console, it reverts back to moderate. I have opened UPnP, and have closed all unused ports on my network. All this does is give me a limited amount of time to play with my friends. Whenever I join a party, after about a minute, it forces me to leave...

I have tried:

Turning off my router, waiting 30 seconds, then turning it back on again.

Enabled UPnP.

Closing all unused portson my connection.

Following the steps that Xbox LIVE has given me to help open my NAT.

None of these actually work, and I would like to know if there is any other things that I could try.

You should be opening ports on your connection. Not sure what closing them would do in terms of benefits to Xbox Live connections. Assign your Xbox a static IP if possible too as it will make it easier to control.

Find your router here and follow the directions (do BT still use HomeHub?) - portforward.com/.../default.htm

Or you could add your console to the DMZ.

Also, if you have a router and a modem be sure to open ports on both.

Also, UPnP can cause connection issues with games like Battlefield 3 so if you play that be sure to take that into account.

I had an issue not that long ago, with constant moderate NAT type I tried various things Port Forwarding and Connections to find the simplest resolve method that worked was doing a "bridge connection" super easy, super fast I played 2 days as a bridged then removed the Ethernet cable and its still 'open' NAT
