NAT Typ strict - I tried everything!

Hey Guys!

I'm desperate. I really tried everything to get the NAT typ to open.

What I tried:

  • Portforwarding the ports
    - UDP: 88
    - TCP: 3074
    - UDP: 3074
    - TCP: 53
    - UDP: 53
    - TCP: 80
  • Enable UPnP
  • Test the Xbox Live connection over the system settings
  • Turn off the router for atleast 30 seconds
  • Set the network configuration to the factory settings

Still, nothing changed.
note: I got it yesterday to open, I don't know anymore how, but after restarting the Xbox it was again strict..

My Router:

Thomson Gateway 585v7

What else can I do? Thanks in advance,
MrFawkess - Pascal

If you followed that it should always stay open, you can also check to see if there is a later version of firmware for your router. Did you remove the portforwarding?

First, thanks for the Answer. I really followed the instruction but it changed to strict again..

I think there is a later version of my router, but the problem is, I don't know the administrator passwort. The password ist automatically logged so i got acces to the full funtions, but if i update the firmware, I think i need to know the password.

Yes, I  did 't remove the portforwarding.

I'm gonna check the firewall now.

If you don't know the admin password you may have to do a factory reset of your router, that will put everything back to how it was when you first unboxed it so you must ensure you have your ISP username/password as you will need to that get back onto the Internet.

Have you tried  Username = Adminstrator; Password is blank?

If the router was supplied by your ISP the password may be different.
