Name Is Blocked Error

I'm having a Halo: Reach & LIVE related issue, but I believe that the core of the problem has to do with Xbox LIVE's banned words filter.

As of September 13, I get the following in-game error message when I try to upload files to my File Share in Reach:

"Name Is Blocked
The name of the creator of this file is not allowed on Xbox LIVE."

My gamertag is Lord Friendship; I've had this particular GT for over a year now, and I've uploaded many things to my file share in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach without issue before.  At first I was unclear on the exact violation, but my Service Tag was forcibly changed from its previous "LORD" some time yesterday.  When I tried to change it back, I got a similar error, saying that the desired change was not allowed on Xbox LIVE.  Evidently, the word "lord" has been added to LIVE's disallowed list.

I just got Bungie Pro and I was planning on using that new-found File Share capacity to its fullest. I would not like to have those plans halted for such a silly reason. Is there a way for me to get an exception for my name, or to dispute the addition of part of my name to the banned words list?

Thank you for your time.

It would be best to contact Bungie/343 about this issue, as they are the ones who handle the File Share feature of the Halo games.

My understanding is that this feature in Reach just queries the Xbox LIVE servers for banned words, and then lets the player know if something is not allowed. I'm contacting both Xbox and 343 about this, but I think that it's more on Microsoft's side of things.

If it was an error on Live's side then you would not have been able to create your gamertag in the first place.

Agreed, but this seems like a recent change; I've uploaded things to my File Share as recently as last week, but now I'm being told that my name is invalid. I'm guessing that LIVE recently updated their banned words list. From what I've read, old gamertags that violate changes in the banned words list are grandfathered in.

I have been told that the term "lord" should be available in the next day or so. If you cannot get this to work by next week, please post back and let me know. Thanks!

Thank you for your time. Do you know why the term "lord" was blocked? I have heard of others having similar problems with similarly innocuous terms like "gold".  Any information you could provide would greatly help to alleviate some of the confusion in the community.  Thank you.

Finally someone has the same problem as me!

"Glitch" is apparently a horrible word that shall not be spoken! I have a lot of content I'd love to upload, but thanks to a faulty word filter I cant? I don't want to change my gamertag...

even though I have had this issue and had it resolved a while ago, I'm still curious of why my old gamertag "padraig08" is in violation of xbox live's filter. no biggie if you can't find out, just a little curious of my old name's fate.
