My Xbox360 Slim freezes for no apparent reason

Hi Xbox forums

I have a Xbox 360 slim 4gb (flashdrive version), that I bought 1½ years ago, that has started making problems.

It has run smoothly, except for a lack of memory, so I have been using a 8gb USB flashdrive, to store my profile, save games etc, there is nothing on the Xbox Flashdrive, except the xbox software.

Last night, I was playing Far Cry 3, and all of a sudden, my xbox freezed, right as it was about to load another level.

I rebooted it, and played a DVD. It worked fine. This morning, I wanted to use it again, but it kept freezing. Sometimes, right as dashboard loads, it freezes, other times  I can use it for 60-90 seconds, then it freezes. It doesent react to the controller either.

I sometimes get a error code that reads 8C02000 and then another letter or number in the end, that I cant remember - it doesent make the error all the time.

I have tried clearing the system cache, resetting it to factory standard using the power and sync button, I have detached the USB memory stick, tried another one with the newest update on.

I tried moving it, but nothing. It isnt overheating or anything like that, it is well ventilated.

Can anyone perhaps help me solve this? I dont know what to do from here. Xbox service is out of the question, as its out of warranty :(

Thanks

Hello AHD1989, I would suggest trying these Solutions support.xbox.com/.../screen-freeze-article Total of 8 with the last one finally having to submit a online repair order. I understand how you feel and I hope you get it fixed.

I tried all of those, to no avail. It still messes up :(

Is there anyway to complete reset it to factory standard - i.e. remove all updates etc,?
