My Xbox won't connect to Live.

Hi guys. I seem to be having difficulties with my Xbox Console. It seems everytime I log in it will not connect me to Xbox Live. I tried the troubleshooting but I can't even access it. It tells me that my Ethernet is not in when all my wires are connected. And it also tells me that my Xbox Live Service Status says:

Users may experience difficulties with the following services:

  • Signing into Xbox LIVE from an Xbox console

I also checked my internet connection and my linksys doesn't register the Xbox. I know it tells me to be patient but this problem occurred yesterday and I'm missing some quality time with my Bros. So any information or suggestions why this is happening is greatly appreciated.

Im sorry, but if the Service Status says that Users may have some difficulties with connection to XBOX Live and you are sure that you were doing everything right, then you have to wait till the Service Status changes.

Also try to restart your Router, maybe this will help.

Thank you for your suggestion V1T4L1 I tried restarting my router but it still was the same so I guess I will have to wait. If the problem doesn't fix itself in the next week I don't know what to do.

Try to call the XBOX Support, maybe they can give you some tips.

yes but im still not able to connect because even though the wires in it is not registering, i think that it could be the ethernet port in the xbox itself

It's possible the port is defunct. Can you try wireless?

Thats what I was thinking of doing but first i might want to check if it is my xbox itself by trying with another xbox

You can try to recover your profile on another Xbox easily enough. But checking if a wireless connection works might be easiest depending on your network.
