The color of the light on the power brick is green. No, I have not tried plugging my Xbox into a different socket. Yes the Xbox and power brick are both well ventilated

@taidara

It appears that it is my hard drive. It just got worse, it will now just restart itself as soon as I turn on my Xbox

well, then remove the hard drive, and plug in an empty USB flash drive; the menu which appears will prompt you to prepare it. Then, download your profile from Xbox Live to the USB flash drive (which you have made into a Memory Unit) and confirm you can sign in.
