My Xbox One isn't reading the discs...

I just bought this console in December of 2014 and now it's having issues with reading the discs... I have to literally take it out and put it back in the console several times before it will read the discs. Discs are clean, no scratches or marks. This system isn't that old and it's not in a tight place so it doesn't get hot. What's the issue???

HealthierJam048,

One temporary quick fix that can be used is to hold the disc for a second while it starts to pull the disc in. This doesn't always work, but usually makes it so that the console will read it the first time. You just have to hold the disc while it's being pulled in for about 1 second, then let it go.

It may help to turn it to energy saving mode also.  The troubleshooting steps for the disc drive are here support.xbox.com/.../disc-error but it sounds as if you may want to have it serviced.  To create or check the status of a service order or to register a device please visit myservice.xbox.com/.../Welcome.aspx
