My xbox makes a buzzing noise

It makes this buzzing noise, sort of a "vuh vuh". It only does this for game discs (no noise for a normal DVDs or when there's no disc). For games I'm running only from the disc it only makes the noise when I turn off the system while the disc is running. For games I have installed it makes the noise just as it begins booting and just as it ends.

It started this all of a sudden last night, so I'm a little worried. Does anyone have any advice?

Is there any chance you could record the noise it is making, then we might know what is wrong.

Ok, I borrowed a digital recorder and made a recording of the noise. How do I post the sound file?

You could try to sit your xbox on its side then try playing a game and see if it makes the noise.

Then it could just be normal since my xbox dose it as well.

Or it could just be a loose DVD Drive.

Yowza!

Well, anyway, I have the recording of the noise that StuartA TrueRed asked for so you can hear the noise yourself, except I don't know how to post the file to this forum. Do you know how to do that?

If you really wanted to you could upload it to like YouTube as a video.

I all ready know what the sound sounds like because my xbox dose it also.

The noise is nothing to worry about it is just normal and dose not cause any damage to the games.

Okay, I made it into a video: [View:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK99G9lO8Jw]

The sound isn't quite right, but I hope it helps identify my problem (my discs are also getting very light circular scratches). The noise is at around the 11 second mark and the 17/18 second mark.
