My Xbox isn't connecting to Xbox Live (I have a valid subscription and I connect my xbox to my laptop which is wireless connected to my router)

I live in the United States of America

I have an **** modem and a Belkin router

My network connection says wired on my network settings on the Xbox but it is only wired into my laptop which shares internet from my home wireless router

My NAT type is Strict but it has never been a problem in the past

My internet service provider is Comcast

When I test XBL connection it says Test failed and the more info shows:

Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem.

Turn your router or modem off and back on, then wait 30 seconds.

Have you restarted your router or modem?

Can someone please help me?

Yeah. Let me go over a short list for you:

You're connection may not be able to be shared, thus your xbox can't access it.

Your IP is strict, so it's not aloud to be shared.

You're connection is currently above 120 FPS.

And they're also saying some people can't connect because of your ISP not connecting to Microsoft's network.

Well my Laptop (a new Inspiron 15R) shared internet fine with my xbox from around late July to the end of August, then I went off to school without my xbox and I am now back home for the weekend and the Xbox will not connect even though it was fine before I left, so I don't think it would be the internet sharing.

My connection has been strict for almost a year now and I could connect to XBL fine for that whole time

Although I'm not sure about the last 2, if it is one of those things is there anything I can do?

Try to change you cipher on your security settings to AES, not TIKP. I just got off the phone with a live rep, and it worked for me.
