my xbox 360 disc tray doesn't open when there isn't a disc inside?

When there is no disc inside it won't open unless i quickly tap it on the top of it as soon as i click open. Which gets really really frustrating.

Is there anything i can do? i think it is still under warranty i bought it in march 2009.

thank you.

call support and work thru the troubleshooting

then if they decide send it in for repair

ummmm btw its only 1 year warranty for original xbox 360 so unless you purchased an extended warranty your warranty was up 2010

(i had to do it once for jamed drives)

3 year warranty only applies to 3 red lights or e74 issues

xbox 360 s units have a 1 year warranty
