my network is up, laptop connected, but xbox cannot connect.

this started about 10 hours ago. i tried the stock support options on xbox live. and the dns server thing.

Hey Earnest, our forums actually have a posted 24-hour response time. In fact, users who bump their threads within that 24 hour window risk an even longer delay in receiving a response, since we work from older posts to newer ones. :-) I see in your original post that you tried the 'stock support options;' would you be able to detail those for us, so we don't recommend the same things again? When the test fails please hit more info and type the whole error out here:

- I want to be able to help you the best that I can And I need detailed information. So weither it says can't obtain an Ip address or that your passkey is wrong or that it can't connect. It should give a detailed description of whats going on when you hit more info.
