My long lasting 360 is finaly at its peak, i'm thinking of getting an Xbox One

Hello to all, my xbox 360 elite is unfortunately close to its judgement day, the disk drive sometimes gets stuck, it can't even read most games, unless i previously have installed them before, my last working controller is getting "wonky", the right analog stick isn't functioning properly as it doesn't work when tilting to either of the left sides, be it straight or diagonaly, also my right bumper sometimes fails to respond, i am now limited to playing games that don't require much use of the right analog stick, and also one of my recent problems is that i'm also limited to getting digital games only, as for i fear that some disks may eventualy not work, with all of this, not to mention the games with gold, my hard drive is now running out of memory, i have been forced to delete some games i have downloaded previously to make space for new ones.

As of course we must move on, and so i am thinking of purchasing the Xbox One, but my main question is, can i trade in my 360 for the One? should i do a factory reset before doing so? and yes i am already saving up everything i can to be ready to update to the Xbox One (mostly game saves of course), the rest is linked to my account so there shouldn't be any problem i think, right?

A trade in of the console would be up to the store that you are taking it to.  I would recommend keeping an eye out for deals.  If you live in the US there may be some pretty decent Black Friday deals tomorrow.

You should absolutely do a factory reset and reformat the hard drive so none of your information will be on it.

Other than that it should be ok.
