My account is screwed up (sign-in & recovery problems)

For about 2 weeks now i couldnt sign-in to xbox live. everytime i would test my connection and it would say that everything is connected. Ive reseted my router a couple times but it dint help. The strange thing is even if it said cant connect to live when i played COD offline i could still receive updates. After researching for a fix i did an account recovery to see if that would fix it. Everything goes well until the very end of the profile dowload it says cannot login to xbox live. Now my account is half gone on my console (only my gamertag shows on my dashboard, the rest like my played games and gamerscore are gone) and still cant connect to xbox live since it says account recovery isnt finnished.  To proove to myself that it wasnt my internet connection the problem i created a new account and it works perfectly.

 

Hope there's a fix for this and that my account isnt lost.

I have the same issue.  After my gold ran out my account stopped working. Just gets to the download and can't log in.  Support has been less than helpful, I hope we find a solution soon...

ok ive tried clearing my system cache but it dint help i get the same results. Ive been looking around in the forum and it looks like there are a lot of people with the same problem.

I've talked to customer service about 3 times now, with no luck.  Feels like I'm going in circles, I've even had one rep try to tell me that silver members can't recover gamer tags (durr).  They have the "team" working on it and I have a call scheduled for tomorrow, hopefully I can get an answer.

I feel all of you.  Ever since I bought the new slim (now it seems like a bad mistake) I can't use my most recent profile with my xbox silver account or sign up for a gold upgrade, and the only way I can sign on is too use my recovered gamertag which for some reason is 10,000 pts short on gamerscore and has not kept track of the last 10-12 games I played.  Complete Bulls***!!! and their support people give me answers not even related to question/problem.  Don't even know what to do anymore.

After a few calls with support and after they realized it wasn't my connection they were able to fix it.  I didn't get to talk to whoever solved it but the rep I did talk to said it escalated a few times up.  I still don't know what the issue was exactly, though my guess would be that the gamertag data got corrupted.  I suggest calling support and stay on their case about it. It's not the most pleasant thing to go through but it worked for me.

ok I've called xbox support and he told me that he cant do anything but told me to try to recover on a friends xbox and to transfer it on a usb then transfering it to my xbox.
