ms resource:DESC/APP and missing games/ apps

hi, all

I just signed on to my Xbox one after not playing for a few days and the above stated problem has occurred. Was this from a new update? I've been reading some old posts about the issue and I would prefer not to do a factory reset Given that I've used about 70% of the memory for games and apps. HELP

Sorry you're having issues with the error above. Like you discovered the solution is a factory reset of the console. You can try doing a hard reset, but I'm guessing that will not fix the issue as it looks to be software based. To do a hard reset, with the Xbox on, hold the power button down for 10 seconds. The console will quickly turn off. Then power the console back on and see if the issue is still there. 

With the factory reset, yes you will need to reinstall all your content. That said, all your personal settings and game saves are in the cloud provided you keep your Xbox online. So you should be all set with that, and will not lose the important data.
