Microsoft text to verify my Instagram account?

I've received text messages from Microsoft to verify my xbox account before but I just received a text from them out of the blue to verify my Instagram account. Why would Microsoft be contacting me about this? The number I was sent this and previous messages from is 837-401.

Hey there, the irish fuse! Several different companies use the same "number" to send those automated verification messages. If you haven't sent a verification request from Instagram at all, I suggest changing your password for that account and ensure it's safe on their end. :)
