microsoft store - gold membership help

So, I bought my Gold Membership from the Microsoft store, and everything seemed to be going as it should. And like almost every online purchase, it said it'd send a confirmation code to my email. I waited a few minutes before checking my email, and when I did, I didn't have it. I've logged in and out of my Live account, and have turned my Xbox off, but no matter what I do it says that I only have the free account.

check your subscription  status and transactions on http://billing.microsoft.com

If the status is still silver there then the transaction of buying didn't go through.

- If money was taking i suggest contacting Xbox Support via support.xbox.com/contact-us

-if the subscription status is gold there, try to see if clearing the cache of the console helps. To do so go to settings - system - storage - highlight storage device and press Y restart console afterwards
