It will not let me recover my account or make a new one!

Any Suggestions Please, Anything Will Be Helpful!

Unfortunately, unless you backed up your stuff somewhere, you have lost most of your stuff. Where did you buy that Harddrive? It worries me that you said preowned, because someone could have done something to it, especially if you bought it on Ebay.

Maybe try formatting it and see if it fixes the no recovery problem, etc.: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906502. I mean you already lost everything so no point in not trying.

Also try clearing the cache: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/clear-system-cache

If you want to redownload your gamertag, here are instructions: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/profile-move-delete

And redownloading any downloadable content you have purchased: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962228

But honestly, I would try and get a refund and then buy a brand new harddrive, because you just don't know what people have done to their stuff when you buy preowned.

Sorry this happend and best of luck!

I know you cannot recover your account. But have you tried any of the things I suggested like formatting and clearing the cache?

You can try clearing the cache. Go to memory, select your hard drive, Push "Y", Clear cache.

Or go back it to the console settings and try resting your console since you cleared the HDD.
