Me and my friend can not connect in a party or private chat or play a game with just the two of us!

Hi, I have tried everything to try and sort this out, both of us can connect to all of our other friends just not each other!

Both of our NAT types are OPEN. We both have Netgear DG834G routers. My service provider is talktalk and his in AOL. My xbox is connected wired to my router and his is wireless.

My gamertag is lawboy77

His gamertag is Moleman90

Is there anything that anyone can suggest?

I have tried port forwarding ports 88, 3074, 53 (DNS), and 80 on both of our routers but still does not work!

Every time we try to join each others party, it says "UNABLE TO CONNECT TO PARTY, THERE MAY BE NETWORK PROBLEMS" and private chat it continuously says "JOINING CHAT"

Thanks, Ash

Hey there Lawboy!

Start by resetting your modem and router. Turn on you modem and wait (2 min.) for it to connect before you turn on the router. Make sure your router is updated with the latest firmware. Go to manufacturers webpage and download it from there. Make sure you have UPnP enabled and no Port Forwarding. Reset your Xbox Netowork Settings back to factory settings.

Post back and let us know if any of the suggested worked.
