LOCKED - Can't access account via XBox

When we got our Xbox 360 my son created a live account via the console with our free introductory offer.  We let it expire, but then we decided to sign up for the Gold membership which I did via my PC.  Apparently, I changed some of my son's settings and now I can't access the account from our XBox.

What do I do now?

Thanks.

You can "recover" the account if it isn't on the console. Just press the big X button (guide) and select Recover. Follow the prompts here.

Thanks everyone for responding.

Using my WLID from the Xbox it tells me that an account already exits and that I need to select or create another.  I think this is because my only option from the Xbox is to Join Xbox Live rather than sign on to an existing account.

Hope this helps.

What do you mean you "can't access it"? Can you be more specific about what you are experiencing?

If you know what your WLID and Password is for the account, you can try recovering the gamertag to your console. support.xbox.com/.../gamer-profile.aspx

I can't think of any settings you could have changed that would prevent you from accessing the account...with the exception of putting a passcode on it.  Could you be a little more specific?  Anyway, the only other option I can think of is to call support and and go thru the account verification process.
