Live window on home screen is black with game running. No video.

So far this is the only thing I can't seem to fix. I could've sworn that games when running in the background were to still show their video on the home screen. Instead I get a black main window. Apps like netflix and hulu function properly in this manner, just not games. I searched the first 10 pages but couldn't find anything quite like this.any suggestions? I'm not running an hdmi in, nor am I using the hdmi cable provided in the box. I have quick resume beta enabled ( tried enabled and disabled)

No, I am in chicago and have a company called DLS, I've got a huge antenna on my roof that receives a signal.

Regardless is my problem sound similar to that of the BT Internet?

It's only the main live window where there is no video.

Yes - it may be something to do with your router settings.  In the UK there was something to do with signing into the router and doing smart setup on the router.  Then signing into the BT account as normal.  Reset your router and hey presto it was fixed...

I recommend that you contact your service provider to see if there's anything that they recommend that you do? :)

Good luck

I have fixed this problem with a hard reset. For anyone that doesn't know how to perform a hard reset...

hold the xbox light on the physical console till the machine turns off. Then wait 30 seconds ( recommend by support article). Power the console back on, it will take a minute or two to complete the boot process.
