Live Gold Renewel problems

Hi everybody. I recently had to renew my Live membership because it wasn't taken automatically as in previous years. After messing around on xbox.com I managed to do it but on this months bank statement two lots of payment have been taken,(£80). I think I have somehow payed for two years instead of one. Is there anyway I can get one payment back or do I have to wait to see what happens next year? Cheers.

You can check your account at billing.microsoft.com to see exactly what was charged. You'd have to call support and talk to billing to see if they can refund it, if you were charged twice.

Did you see an error message stating 'Your Account has been suspended due to a problems with your payment option', then went onto Xbox.com and purchased a membership, noticing that you had an old Debit or CC number on file?

Sounds like you had a past due balance, and when you purchased a new membership it update your payment option, clearing up the old balance
