latest update has messed up by xbox

I turned my xbox on yesterday and was told that i needed to download the latest update - so I did

for the last 24 hours all my xbox now is continually turn itself on then go to the dashboard and then shut down and reboot

at first i thought this was a power issue so changed all the cables and plugged back in - but nothing changed

i then unplugged the internet cable - and used the xbox disconnected from xbox live - strange the xbox works can play games etc....

as soon as i sign back into xbox live it keeps startin g and shutting itself down again - the only conclusion i can figure is that update yesterday has messed my xbox up

Can someone please explain to me how to fix this or when will a correct update be sent???????

One thoroughly *** off xbox live user! as this is not the first an update has messed things up for me.

I have the same issue. I did the recent update and now I can't log onto Live, and when I do it takes forever to even load a page.  I feel your pain...

Same thing happened today after the Xbox Live update followed by the Netflix update. How can I UNDO the last updates and start over?

This is a complicated issue. I'm sure Microsoft will do something about it, but for now it seems a lot of people are getting it. I kept getting messages saying there is trouble with signing into my account, even though Wi-fi was fine.

its so frustrating - i keep hearing more and more people are having this problem and cant use their xbox - come on Microsoft sort it out - didnt you bother to check your update before sending it out to the masses not realising that its messing things up.  My xbox live renew is due on the 11th........should i bother?  to all the people who have replied so far let me know if anything changes?

I am also having this issue. Is there any way to fix this, or no? Honestly I just got a new game and I'm kind of *** that after this update it won't connect.

I also had this issue after downloading the latest update. I deleted my profile, cleared the cache on everything connected to the xbox,deleted the update and reformatted my drive. When it restarted it downloaded the update again then i downloaded my profile and it finally worked. Hope this helps everyone also.

ok im gonna give this a whirl but sounds very long winded.  3 days have gone by and not a response from microsoft - this is shocking!!!

I downloaded the update the other day and everything was working fine.

then i get home from work and turn on my xbox and it says my subscriptions status needs to be updated. so I did that and i still can't connect to Live. I talked to customer support and they had no idea what was wrong. this is very annoying, and I can't do anything on my xbox now cause of this, they better fix this and fast!!!

jimmycrackcorn suggested deleting the hard drive to solve this i understand you can redown load your profile but wont that mean losing all the games ive purchased.....not so sure i want to do that to solve the problem.... any other suggestions - now day 4 and still n o help from microsoft.......and im still not impressed
