just starting using HDMI

and have it running on a 1080i my question is is there really any difference using it  rather than composite which i have always used

HDMI supports resolutions of up to 1080p or 1080i, but composite only supports 720p or 576p I think

There shouldn't be a big difference if you went from using the green, blue and orange, with the white and red for sound. Only thing is that now you will only need to plug and unplug one connection everytime you move it instead of 5.

I haven't noticed a difference between those two sets of cables. HDMI must be better in some way though. I just don't know how.
