Issues granting allowance to Secondary account on a Family Plan?

mine didnt work .. was trying to grant to my son and my daughter account.. would not take.. went through the process and it said it was confirmed but it wasnt..the balances never changed on my account nor theirs... tried several times.. no luck.. then i read on a prevoius forum.. about same issue.. "just remove and add them back in and it works".. my dumb butt did that to my sons acct only to find out that once removed you have to wait 5 DAYS before they can get back on the account!!! ugghhh!!! HELP ... i dont even know what to tell my son...good grief!!
