Is there a way to disable voice commands?

I have been trying to figure out how to disable the voice commands on my XBox One. I have a kinect, and I have the kinect mic turned off in the settings. But I use a headset and when I am chatting with people while playing a game the XBox One still responds to my voice. I find this really irritating to have menus popping up while I am trying to play a game just because I happened to use the word "Xbox" in a conversation with some one I am chatting with. I don't care to use the voice commands at all and would like to completely disable this feature because it seems to respond to my voice frequently when I am not even trying to use a voice command. But I see no option to disable this feature in the settings. I did a quick google search and could find nothing about it either.

So, is there a way to completely disable the voice command feature on Xbox One?

Muting my microphone is not an option I want to choose because I enjoy chatting with people while I play...

Hi DeathBurrito24,

Sorry you're having issues with the chat commands. I don't think this option is something that is built into the Xbox One. As such when you're not wanting to not use the voice commands I would suggest turning the Kinect off. To do this go to Settings, select Kinect, and then select Kinect off. Also if you would like this feature added to the Xbox One, I would suggest checking in the Xbox Feedback site below to see if someone requested it. If you find it requested, then "Up Vote" it. If you do not see it listed anywhere, go ahead and make a suggestion to have this feature added.

Turn Kinect Off
