IP Address and ICMP Errors

I've been having connection problems for about 2 and a half weeks and still haven't figured it out yet. At first, I was able to connect but I was getting errors saying that not all Xbox Live content was available to me. For this you will need to know your XBOX IP address and have access to a computer connected to your network.

Once you have logged into your router settings page

Click on the navigational menu where it says DMZ host.

Fill in the last octet of the address with the one that corresponds with your XBOX.

Save settings.

This will put your XBOX outside of the firewall and all ports will be open.

This is the quickest way to allow your XBOX access.

Also Scroll down and you will find MTU. Instead of using the default settings, you have to set it between 1392 and 1500. Then XBOX will work.

OK, I changed the DMZ Host to match my Xbox and changed the MTU to 1400, but still getting ICMP error or it's connecting and Xbox Live is still not making all the content available to me.

ICMP errors mean your Internet connection is not passing data to the Xbox properly, so I would advise you contact the pros by

 1) going to http://xbox.com ,

 2) sign in there, and then go to

 3) http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us?xr=footnav#2:1:3 and

 4) click on Request A Call.

 5) Provide a brief explanation of what's going on, and the next open agent will call you back.

If you are not in the US, replace the red US above with your country code.
