I have xbox360 S, i plugged in internal hard drive, but its not being recognized, i rebooted the xbox few times with and without the hard drive inside the console. Any other helpful hints to make sure xbox recognizes the new internal drive?
Assuming it is clicked into place and the only way to get it out is the pull tab, with the trap door off the side of the console put your hand on the casing of the drive and power up the console. See if you can feel the drive spin up.
If you can't feel it spin up, it may not be fully clicked into place.
If it's spinning up and still nothing, exchange it.
