Just purchased the Xbox 360S Gears of War 3 Limited Edition console.
Upon setting it up, etc.
I come across an issue that is very obvious. The Xbox Live internet connection constantly slows to a trickle, DLs that take 5 seconds, take 10 minutes, playing Call of Duty online when shooting I lag and bullets are never fired until a few seconds later when the should be instantly hitting targets.
Basically upon restarting the Xbox (after keeping it off for at least 1 minute), Xbox live runs fine until about 5 minutes later, then the internet speed slows to nothing. Downloads will jump from 1% to 15% to 45% in less than 30 seconds, then out of nowhere it freezes on 1%-50% and after about 10 minutes of not moving it comes up with an Xbox Live cannot connect error and cancels the download (but I still stay logged into Xbox Live).
In a game I have 3/4 bars for a wireless connection.
I also believe this is an issue with the adapter because my extremely old 1st Gen Xbox with a regular white external adapter NEVER had any issues with Xbox Live.
I am not at my house right now but I will fill in everything I can remember.

If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using? I think it's a WEP key with 16 digits.
If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? Xbox 360S adapter
Things you have tried: Restarting Xbox, restarting router, restarting modem, opening ports, googling this issue, etc.
Is UPnP Enabled? Yes
Is NAT Type Open? Yes
Any Error Codes you encounter: No
What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? Not sure I believe it's DSL though.
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Bright House Networks
After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen? I get no issue connecting to Xbox Live, just internet speed.
