Installing Games to the HDD

Hi all,

Has anyone else noticed with newer titles installed to the HDD that the disc no longer just spins for a moment at start-up, but it actually spins for a few minutes before stopping?

This happens to me with Gears of War 3 and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Cool, let me know.  I wonder if it's something to do with Microsoft Studio games, as these are the only new titles I've installed and they both do it.  Once the next Title Update is released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I'll be installing that and see if it occurs.

Yes Every game after Gears 3 I have tested does this.  Prior to gears none of them.

Yeah gears 3 is the only game that i have that spins for 5 minutes even when installed. Im assuming it's because of the disk format change.

Ah very good point!  I hadn't thought of that, and I assume you're correct.
