I just connected a friends xbox 360 to my broadband recently and it installed at least 6 updates one after the other as it hadn't been on the internet before.. Anyhow all was working great until tonight, when a new update appeared. After it installed it rebooted and gave the error message "Can't read the update from your storage device. Please reinsert it to continue the update...." Status Code: 397D-397F-2680-0F00-C000-0034
The only thing I did prior to this was install a new USB memory stick and transferred the content from the previous card to the new one. After I did that I went to play one of the game demos I had previously downloaded to see if it worked and then the update appeared..
It would be great if there was a roll-back feature to revert to the previous version in the event of an error like this, as the xbox is bricked until I can find a way to fix it!
I tried downloading the latest update to a new USB stick and inserting it to no avail. I've also tried removing all storage devices and trying them individually all with the same result..
Any help would be much appreciated as my friend doesn't yet know his xbox is bricked!
