I have a matte black 360 slim 250gb and the psu is ridiculously loud. It sounds like a hairdryer. Is this normal?

Hello, that is not normal for it to be that loud. If for some reason it is honestly as loud as you are saying then please contact XBOX Support via phone or visit the XBOX repair site here and either order a new power supply or get it replaced if your console is still under warranty.

New power supplies for consoles that do not have a warranty anymore are $35, and if they are under warranty it is exchanged out free of charge.

It shouldn't be loud at all, as quiet as mouse if anything. But as I said if this problem is bothering you in some way and disrupting your game play, feel free to get it replaced.

Gunnzie you should make sure your power suply is in a well ventilated area so it can cool itself, if this does not solve the problem i would advize you to take ik back to where you got the xbox and see about the warenty . i have the same xbox and mine does not make alot of noise at all the only reason i think off is that it is in an enclosed area and can not cool itself

friendly regards pieter
