Incoming call kicks xbox live offline??

I am having issues with incoming calls on the land line kicking exbox live off line.  in multiplayer. It basically signs me out of  xbox live when the phone rings??

 Any ideas??

Check your filters.  There should be filters on every phone line except the line for the modem.  If you have filters on them, perhaps one of them is dead.

ok thanks I will give that a try.. just replaced the filters not too long ago ..

That would make the most sensible explanation anyway.  You don't have a filter on your modem line I hope.

try line spiltters, u can buy them at buck stores for real cheap dude.

your best bet is an ADSL POTS splitter, very useful and dedicates a phone jack for your internet

No there is no filter on the modem line for the internet  but there are on all the other lines.. I replaced two of them that only leaves one left

Call your telephone service provider, this happened to a friend of mine, when the phone was picked up all internet access was disabled  for a few 2-3 minutes.

I used to have this problem, and someone suggested it was because I had an older, cordless phone in use in the house.  Might have been a coincidence, but when I got rid of the that old phone and put in a swanky new set, the problem went away.  If you have a cordless, try removing it (or at least unplugging it) and see if that works.
