I want to move a gamertag to a new Live ID but it's already got one - help!!

Hi.  When I created this Live ID it was assigned the gamertag 'AgateJam0640'.  I want to use my current gamertag which is 'Forcefield619' but I can't move it because it's saying the live ID already has a gamertag.  How do I remove 'AgateJam0640' so I can assign 'Forcefield619'?

Ok, the first thing you need to do, is create a third new email address and then change the email address for the other gamertag.

This will free up the email that you want, so now you will be able to change the email address on the gamertag that you want to.

Thanks for that.  If I did this and managed to move the gamertag, would i be able to move the Gold membership subscription with it, or will i have to buy this again for the new Live ID?

It doesn't have any effect on Gold suscription. This only changes the email address associated with your gamertag.
