I think my account is getting hacked. Help?

I was playing call of duty earlier today and this guy said he could hack my account and 'leak my information'.  I told him I live in Colorado but thats it.  I have Colorado on my profile.  The guy said he knew my IP address (I dont know my IP?) and said what city I live in and was correct.  I did not tell him my password or my windows live id password.  I still have control of my account.  I know they guy's gamertag.  What should I do?

The person is using specialist software on their computer to scan Internet connections while also playing on Xbox Live.  This in itself is not illegal, carrying out attacks against another persons Internet, known as a denial of service attack is.

Even if he does know your IP address, it will tell him your Country, State/Province and Town/City, but its not accurate, it will not tell him exactly where you are, even MS doesn't know that based purely on an IP address.  Only your ISP knows your exact physical address from your IP.

Your account is fine, your IP address is provided by your ISP, it has nothing to do with Xbox Live and your account on there.  As long as you do not share your Windows Live ID there is nothing this person can do to your account. They could try to take you offline by flooding your modem/router with random data, if that happens call your ISP and then them change your IP address.

Make sure you file a complaint against this person and block communications.

File a complaint > set to avoid > block communications > don't name and shame him on here. If he could hack your account he would've done it without giving you fair warning and the only way he's getting control of your account is if your WLID & password are ridiculously easy eg your password is the same as your GT. The worst he can do with your IP address is a denial of service attack which if he carries out should be met with the police by you. Your IP address also only gives a rough idea of where you are in the world he can't pinpoint you down to the house you live in, city yes, district at a push but nothing more specific than that.
