I puchased a gold live acct, but when i use the xbox it says "Your xbox live account is assigned to a different microsoft profile"????? first time live.

This is my first time going live, it says i have internet, it says i have downloaded updates. I purchased a gold membership with 800 point and nothing has changed on my actual xbox. I sign in using the same email and password and it keeps saying, "your xbox live acct is assigned to a different profile" ???? what does that mean? I've never had a xboxlive acct or microsoft acct or any acct , except this one. And the setting page doesn't let me select acct boxeither??

Hey there TyingKeyboard!  Have you tried any trouble shooting steps such as downloading you profile?  If not, give that a go and see if that helps at all. :)

If you go to account.live.com from a computer and sign in there, are you able to sign in?

If you go to xbox.com from a computer and sign in there, are you able to sign in?
