If it's not working that way and I don't know why it isn't your only other option is to buy them at the store.

You have to download the games on your console, not someone else's.

Guess i'll have to rectify Silent Paradigm reply. You need to download games on your account (no matter who's console it is) to be able to get the full version of Perfect Dark (or any other DLCs for that matter). If its what you did and it still tells you that you only have the Demo Trial then i suggest you get in touch with the technical support to get this issue fixed.

You downloaded all of your games on a different console didn't you? You need to transfer your licenses to your new console. Google Search Xbox 360 License Tranfer and follow the steps. Keep in mind you, will need an internet connection to do all of this but it's pretty simple.

its also because i had the red ring of death and waited for a new xbox 360 when we had no more internet.

they didn't fix it but rather gave us a new one.

so that explains a huge amount.

I had the same issue with my first Xbox, just transfer your licenses over and redownload your games to your new console. Then it won't matter if you're online or offline when you play them, they will be full games not trials.

I have experienced the same thing when my internet was down for a few days. I had bought and downloaded from my console and all my XBLA games reverted to trial versions.

You should call support for answers. 1-800-4MY-XBOX

DLC is tied to two things: The gamertag used to buy it and the console it was first downloaded to.

On that first console all gamertags can play the content, online or offline.

Move to another console however and only the gamertag used to purchase it can play the content and then only when connected to Live.

So as others have said you will need to perform a License Transfer http://www.xbox.com/en-ca/Support/LicenseMigration/Home and may also need to set the things to download again. Don't worry about the amount of time because as the content is on your hard drive already all that will be downloaded is the new license information.

Also if the process should go wrong, then a call to your local support line will get it all sorted http://support.xbox.com/pages/call-us.aspx remember to have your account details to hand when you call.
