I need help

I had my xbox for 6 years and it has finally died. 
I purchased a new gen xbox and i was just wondering if i can transfer information from my old gen HD to the new one.
BTW I dont have cloud storage set up

Yes you can. The easiest way would be with the data transfer cable - support.xbox.com/.../set-up-transfer-cable  All you would need is the old hard drive and the new console/hard drive and it'll transfer everything over for you.

Also remember to do a license transfer to move all of the licenses from your downloaded content from the old console to the new one - http://xbox.com/drm

It's also worth adding that it's not advisable to use any other transfer cable than the official Microsoft cable otherwise you can lose all your data and end up with a hard drive that is useless.
