I have to test connection EVERY time I turn on my xbox to connect.

Soo every single day that I get on xbox, I never am able to connect to xbox live, So I test the connections and everything works and is connecting, so I go back to the dash board and sign in and then I can connect to xbox live. This happens every single time I turn on my xbox no matter what time of day and its super annoying! Anyone know what the issue is? Or am I the first? Thanks to those who reply.

I had an issue similar to this and found that the problem was in the NAT settings.

And post back your details in full (the bits that are in bold on that post) so that people may help

If you are wireless can you also state whether you are using the white or black external adapter or the Xbox 360S Internal adapter

Can you also post whether you are using a static/manual ip address on your Xbox or whether it is set to auto

I have the EXACT same problem. It started with the system update that introduced Smart Glass. The interesting thing is I bought a second Xbox at Christmas to use as an extender in another room and that one immediately signs in XBL and doesn't need me to test the connection before it is able to sign in my account. This tells me Microsoft messed up something with that system update because I had no issue before that.
