I have a slim 360 and I have my ethernet hooked between the console and my wireless laptop.

I already have wireless on the console but I wondering if connecting the console and the laptop would that be a better choice online? Or would it be the same? Is connecting the console and laptop a wired connection or would it still be wireless quality?

If at any point in your connection there is no physical cord running from a device to another, or in other words, if any point of your network between the xbox and the internet is wireless, then the whole segment of that connection is wireless quality.

The connection is going to be the same either way.
