I cant connect to Xbox Live

I am experiencing some difficulty in signing to xbox live.

I just purchased a gold monthly pass. I checked my internet connection and it came out well. I checked my billing info it was all okay and when it comes to the security questions, I have everything that I can think off except the smart phone matter.

I truly only purchased the monthly so I could redeem codes and the such.

But yet it keeps saying that my password is incorrect and nothing else...it is the same password that I use to sign in to here. How can that be. Little to say the least I am already irritated at Batman Origins for the gliches and problems that I have been facing with that so I might not be thinking things well.

When I first bought the xbox my brother was the one that made my account and everything but I never faced this problem. Please help.
