I Cannot connect to XBL Through my USB Modem any more

Hi guys

I used to be able to connect to XBL with a usb Modem using the ethernet cable and the sharing setting. Our family had the laptop Maintenance and i could never connect after that happened. When I look at all of the guides on youtube and other Forums when they tick the sharing setting in the properties under " Home Networking Settings" it says Local Area Connection which is what i used to have. Now what it says is Wireless Area Connection. I have worked out a way to change this which is going to the Etherenet Cable setting and allowing it to share. The USB Dongle/Modem is Called: HUAWEI Mobile Connect 3G Modem #2

So I have enabled sharing now on my Ethernet cable. When I go back to my Optus Properties it really starts to confuse me.

It is named enable for connection Optus Instead. It still does not work so what I need to be called underneath the Allow other network users to connect through computers connection is Local Area Connection. Does anyone know how to do this because it would be a lot of help.

Thanks

Birdy
