I am always getting signed out when I switch between the dashboard and games/apps etc... Help!

My problem is in the title... it started two weeks ago and happens every time I switch between the dashboard and games/apps... any ideas??

 Not exactly sure why it happens but you can try this fix out. If you have no problems signing into Xbox Live try safely deleting your profile, clearing your system cache 3 times, and re-downloading your profile. Just follow these detailed steps:

 

Sign out of your Gamer Tag Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox controller and Press the Blue X to Sign Out

 

Delete Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox controller

2) Scroll right and go to the Settings tab, and then select System Settings
3) Select Storage
4) Select the device with your profile
5) Select Profiles
6) Select your  Gamer Tag
7) Select Delete
8) Select Delete Profile Only
 
Clear System Cache:
1) Scroll right and go to the Settings tab, and then select System Settings
2) Select Hard Drive
3) Highlight Hard Drive, and press Y (Device Options)
4) Select Clear System Cache and select Yes

5) Repeat steps 2 thru 4 two more times so that your Cache is cleared 3 times


Turn off your console and start it back up.

Download Profile: 
1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox 360 controller
2) On the Home tab, select Download Profile

This is a common issue this should resolve it

Run a diagnostic test to make sure your console can connect properly to Xbox LIVE. Here's how!

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so.

Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

If your Xbox can connect properly to LIVE, follow the steps up front.

How to delete Xbox LIVE profile safely

Before you delete your profile,  you have to know the username and password for your Microsoft account that is associated with your profile.

Go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select All Devices.

Select Gamer Profiles.

Select the gamertag that you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

Clear Xbox system cache

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.

Select Clear System Cache.

Restart your console.

Download Xbox LIVE profile.

Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).

Select Download Profile.

Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

Enter your Microsoft account password.

Post back and let us know how it goes.

but when i delete my profile will my black ops 2 dlc maps remain

Yes, because it deletes only the profile and not any content, game saves or anything else you downloaded or installed from disc - provided that you select PROFILE ONLY on the confirmation screen.

However, in future, please do not revive five-month old threads. It's easier to keep track of solved issues this way.
