How To Install Update If Internal Drive Is Full

I have Destiny installed on my internal hard drive.  There is a Destiny update that I am trying to install, but I get an error that there is not enough space on my internal drive. I have installed a 2TB expansion drive, but the update will not install to the external drive even though it is recognized by the system.  Do I have to move the entire game to the external for the update to install?  If so, how do I do that without losing my saved data?

Hi SquirmyEntree8! You will have to move the entire game over the External Hard Drive in order to install the update. In order to do this, you select the game, choose manage, and it will allow you to choose where to keep the game isntall/data. This may be a problem though if there is an update pending, as it may not let you move the game if it is not fully updated. If this is the case, you could move other games to the enternal drive in order make space on your internal drive, and then install the update then. Hope this helps!
