How to delete gamertag without formatting the console

Hi,

i've got the latest xbox360, i've got 3 gamertag or windows live id (dunno how to call them) on the xbox and i want to remove them from the console. I know that it won't delete the profile, is not important, but i'm giving the console to a friend and i want to the delete the accounts without deleting games demos and apps installed.

There is a way to do it without formatting the console?
Thanks

Dani

You can delete the profiles by going into settings/system/storage, select your storage device and look for gamer profiles, your profiles are saved in there and can be deleted.

Hi KiruBiruP,

as per the Xbox support article located at the bottom of the page here: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/profile-move-delete

You can delete profiles that you no longer use from your console. Here’s how:

  •    Go to Settings, and then select System.
  •    Select Storage.
  •    Select All Devices.
  •    Select Gamer Profiles.
  •    Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
  •    Select Delete.
  •    Select one of the following:
  •        Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.
  •        Select Delete Profile and Items to delete the profile and the associated saved games and achievements.

Hope this helps :)

well the apps aren't usable anyways without a live account

he would have to create his own xbox live account to use the apps and would have to download and install them into his own account
