I just saved mine. Click on your profile picture right top coner, right click save as picture your done. Now to repost it to another site it dependes on that site upload file sharing system but it can be done. It appears the Avatars are not copyright protected by MS. Remember, do it from your profile.

I'd like a shoot of my entire avatar and wouldn't getting the picture from a gamerpic make it too small? And before the website update, I could just easily right click on my standing avatar that u see when go to your profile. And now that doesn't seem to work and only shows 'Silverlight' when I right click it now.

Silverlight doesn't this mean you are not a Gold member if so, there's your reason why you can't copy your avatar image.

This is what he means by Silverlight.

OP, I think all you can really do is take a screenshot and edit it.

There was a link you could click somewhere in the editor which would open a page of just a static pic of your avatar but the back ground was completely white or black (can't remember which).  Don't know if it's still there but it sucked.

The old site had an Avatar Photoshoot page.  There were no poses or nothing but you had some choices of backgrounds and items you could add to the shot.  You could even choose to have the pic already formatted for specific social networking sites.  I still have mine as my Facebook pic but it's the old bighead and i want to change it.  Example.

They need to implement something like that again.

Links. The second only works if you've set your gamerpic to an avatar image, otherwise you get the generic image.
