how long for new payment method to update?

my old CC got cancelled as i'd used it for PSN also, for one reason or another i didn't update my xbox live account, with my new cards details, and my gold sub was suspended. I've now updated my pay method via my console, how long until that info will update?

Every time i try to access my account info via the xbox web site the page just hangs, so i tried to use the windows live site and that then asked me to update my card info, which i'd already done on console. Would also like to downgrade to silver and those options are also not available to me at the moment.

i did update the info very recently, is it just a question of having to give it a day or so?

If you had a past-due balance or billing violation, you'd have to call up phone support to settle it before your account returns to normal. support.xbox.com/.../contact-us.aspx
